You can download a Minitel emulator or a plug-in.

The emulator is used without your browser, like a program. It is compatible with Windows 3.*, Windows NT/95, 98 and 2000.
IF YOU SHOULD EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS USING WINDOWS 98 USE THE PLUG-IN.

The plug-in is used with the browser. It is compatible with Windows 95/98/NT.

To download the plug-in just click on : plugin349.zip

When you have downloaded the plug-in :

Unzip the file plugin349.zip
Execute setup.exe
Use the browser to go to the URL : pdc.minitelfr.com/plugin.html

To download the Minitel Synertel emulator just click on winmin30.zip

When you have downloaded the emulator :

Unzip the file winmin30.zip
Execute winmin30.exe
Select your installation directory

When installation is complete, a SYNERTEL_1 window is displayed with three icons :

Win-Minitel : which you can click on to start the emulator: move it to an appropriate place, possibly on your desktop.
ReadMe : text file which you should read (it describes how to create scripts to connect automatically to the Minitel services).
UnInstall Win-Minitel : to uninstall the emulator.

5 files are created in the SYNERTEL folder :

Winminip.exe (332 kB), an application started by clicking on the "Win-Minitel" icon.
Winmin.txt (9 KB) : a text file describing how to use the emulator. This is opened by ReadMe.
Synertel.ini (1 KB) : the configuration parameters which can be modified by the user.
Stelcom.dll (15 KB) and Stelphot.dll (59KB) : the program extensions.

To start the emulator, click on the Win-Minitel icon which executes SYNERTEL/Winminip.exe.

DELETE WINMIN30.EXE, the file you downloaded from the Web site. If you clicked on this by mistake, you would restart the installation procedure.
