The charges depend on the service provider, which may be Orange Business Services or a local provider (Minitelnet Australia, Edusoft SA in Switzerland).

Orange Business Services charges (Euros ex VAT) :

1 - Accessing the gateway

Orange Business Services charges are paid using a pre-payment system by cheque made out in Euros. The management cost is EUR15 ex VAT for opening your account and EUR7 ex VAT each time you top up the account. A minimum amount of EUR50 will be required each time you top up your account.

2 - Consulting Minitel services

The amount invoiced for the length of time you are connected to the services will be deducted from the balance in your account. You can find out the rate charged for the service you wish to consult by looking in the Minitel Services Guide PAGESM.

Table of charge rates in Euros ex VAT per minute :

Front page : EUR 0.025 ex VAT per minute
Connection : EUR 0.016 ex VAT for each service called

These prices apply for an average traffic of 4 kbyte/min. Traffic exceeding 4 kbyte/min will be invoiced at EUR 0.008 /kbyte

NB 1: The French electronic directory, code AE, and the Minitel services guide code, PAGESM, are charged at rate P20.

NB 2: The rate is chosen by the supplier of each Minitel service.

These prices are exclusive of VAT. French VAT is chargeable on the prices shown above if the customer is based in the European Union and if he is not VAT registered in his own country.
